A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Biography

I am a UK photographer, currently living and working in London.

My photographic path has taken many twists and turns. However a common theme through the years has been the desire to make photographs that are difficult in some way to achieve. Ultra macro, Astrophotography, super long exposure, inks and paints in water, ferrofluid. I am often found tinkering with some new box or construction to try to get my difficult photograph.

ABOUT MY PROCESS

My Photography

My abstract photography work is making, finding and then photographing microscopic crystals of various substances and chemicals in polarised light on an old research polarising microscope. My main photography microscope is older than I am. 

After countless microscope slides, and tens of thousands of photographs taken, a few of the very best photographs have crossed the line to become artworks. These are printed on Chromaluxe once, and will not be printed again. Every work is entirely unique.

My work was included in a successful joint exhibition titled Polychromo - at Alveston Fine Art in Notting Hill, London, in March 2023.

My work is held in collections in the Netherlands, USA, Luxembourg, UK and Israel.
